AMD has unveiled the new Versal AI Edge adaptive SoC family, targeting edge AI and industrial vision applications. The family builds on the Versal adaptive compute acceleration platform, integrating a processor subsystem, programmable logic and AI engines on a single device.

Positioned for edge AI inference and industrial vision, Versal AI Edge emphasizes low latency, high energy efficiency and reconfigurability, suiting machine vision, smart factory and robotics workloads.

For developers, the adaptive SoC means the same hardware can be reconfigured through programmable logic to balance AI acceleration and real-time control. Further coverage is available in our monthly issue and video modules.
